It's my birthday today and i thought i would share something that's nearly as old as me..
from my childhood.
three little treasures actually...
i wonder if you can guess what's tucked inside this quaint little old cabinet...
take a closer peek...
SURPRISE!!
my dear old toys...
My dear old Ted, well loved as you can see, with lovingly replaced paw pads by my mummy.
He's a growler but when i unpacked him recently i was sad to discover that he had lost his growl :( but that's ok at least he wasn't eaten away by moths :)
and..
my sweet little 'Roddy' doll which i bought with my very own pocket money..
a little put aside each week.
She's a walker so as you move her arms she takes a step and her eyes move from side to side as well...so sweet.
and...
my darling 'Kader' baby doll...
in perfect condition without a single moth hole..amazing!
now...
all three are safely tucked away again in their quaint little old cabinet keeping them safe from dust and harm.
It makes me extremely happy to have them unpacked and on display in my studio.
and..
i'm sure my three little friends would agree, don't you??
for a peek at more vtt treasures pop over to
PS: Andy & i are leaving for Sydney tomorrow :) we're going to the annual 50s Fair at Seidler house on Sunday..i'm so excited coz i've been wanting to go there for years!! what's even better i'm meeting up with my blogging friend Liz..YAY!!!

Best wishes on your special day. It is also my birthday today 8-25. I love all your vintages treasures.

Happy Birthday! These dolls are just wonderful. I was wishing recently that I had saved some of mine, but we were always downsizing so I was "practical". Thanks for sharing yours.

I didn't have many toys growing up but I sure have made up for that recently. LOL!! Love your bear and the sweet dolls. I also like the card baskets I spy on top of the cupboard.
