Earlier this week i cut a stack of one-inch blocks from the purple, grey & black fabrics i shared with you last week...
Miss Tansy is responsible for the size and colour selection for this little doll quilt... it is after all, going to be her quilt.
and here's the finished flimsy...
as you can see the quilt was made to measure.. 6 3/4" x 8 3/4".. a perfect fit.
and i'm really happy knowing that i've finished this month's small quilt challenge in record time.. YAY!!!
As for the other project i've been working on this week.
Remember those tiny 2-inch basket blocks???
well, i was initailly planning on only making one, but they were so much fun to make and they looked so cute, how could i stop at just one lol?? i think you all know, by now, that i really do love the challenge of working on a 'tiny' scale.. yeah, i know.. just a little crazy, maybe lol??!!
Ohhh whatever!! i'm convinced that's what Elmo was thinking as he had stopped for a brief sniff and then continued with his grooming LOL!!!
after trying a few layouts, i was still decided...
the best thing to do when i'm undecided, is to sleep on it.. believe it or not it really does work.. SEE??
the very next morning, i decided on this layout.. much better, don't you think??
i usually mull over borders too, so imagine my surprise & delight, when i pulled this 'Judie Rothermel' print from my stash and laid it against the flimsy.. there was no hesitation at all, i loved it immediately!!
