Beautiful finishes on both projects! Love the pattern the X blocks create with the signature blocks.
Great fabric choice for the setting squares on the Cheri Payne sampler.

Your Signature quilt is wonderful, your block choice with siggy blocks compliment each other so nicely. Good for you for getting a UFO off your list! Marian your Scrapbasket Sampler is scrumptious too:) I decided to do my wool applique different than Cheri's, you will see it soon. My idea came to me quickly and I didn't give it another thought.

Both of your projects are SO nice! I love the setting for your signature blocks - have you met any of the people involved? (in real life) And I find it very interesting that you're adding the wool applique to your sampler quilt AFTER it's completely finished. Hmmmm..... might have to try that sometime. I have my blocks all sewn together but no borders on it yet.

You are my color mentor. Thank you for showing us this beautiful colorful Signature quilt. It is a spectacular civil war reproduction. And a special keep-sake.
You have a way of using gray that would probably not cross my mind. It works. The Scrapbasket Sampler is an array of blocks that "pop" politely from the gray. A friendly collection of interesting blocks. I like the wool applique. Your felt bird looks like our Indigo Bunting - a rare visitor to Pennsylvania.

To finish is divine....I really like the wool on the top and bottom border, as well as the sweet little bird in between.
Nice job!

I'm smitten with all your projects!

Today, I came across your blog. What an inspiration! I love your mix of fabrics and your small quilts. Looks like you are making great progress on Dear Jane! The X blocks, aka Old Italian Block, make your signature quilt sing! I was wondering if you would share how you made that block. Thank you!
Happy Stiching!

My Woven Scarves...

Each scarf is unique and handwoven on a loom using traditional weaving techniques. I combine hand dyed Australian yarn with specialty yarns (eg silk, mohair, lycra, fine copper wire, chenille, alpaca) to create distinctive tonal and textural variations.....
